'Don't leave it up to your kids'

Here is the TV ad we made in response to a brief that McCann Ericksson set us. Its for the BWEA to try and endear people to the thought of putting up wind farms. It didn't exactly float their boat but we'd love to know what you think. It's based around the thought that we're going to have to switch to renewable energy at some point so why not do it now instead of leaving it up to your kids..

Really cool. Did they say why they didn't like it? My only worries would be that you have to wait a bit too long for the payoff, and that the idea kind of overshadows the imperatives of why wind energy can't wait. Plus there's no takeaway value. I think what this would do is enthuse people that were already won over to the concept of wind, but it might not make disinterested people take notice...

Beautiful film though. More lego please.

Thanks, the reasons that you just pointed out were pretty much why they didnt really go for it. I can see what you/they mean, seems like the execution is far better than the central idea behind it if that makes sense?

Maybe it's because the wind thingy falls down at the end. It's not very reassuring. You don't think it might have been cause by some UFL...?(Unidentified flying lego)

Agreed, it's a great execution and a nice thought, but won't persuade those who are against wind farms and the like. Really nicely put together though!
